Catatan
Problem Statement : The continuous increase in population growth in Indonesia
has become a serious issue because it affects the quality of human resources,
especially in terms of health. One indication of low health quality is the high
prevalence of malnutrition, which leads to stunting in children. In addressing this
issue, the Health Office of Central Lampung District has designed strategies to
combat stunting in the district. Purpose : This study is to find out, identify and
analyze strategies for reducing stunting rates in Central Lampung Regency.
Method : This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection
techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. The researcher
uses data analysis techniques using the Creswell Model. Results : The results show
that the Health Office of Central Lampung District has implemented various
strategies, including budget realization, utilization of regulations, improvement of
tasks and functions, and community outreach activities. However, there are still
obstacles such as the lack of public understanding of stunting and low economic
levels. In addressing these obstacles, the Health Office conducts efforts such as
continuous socialization and food assistance programs. Conclusion : Based on the
analysis carried out by researchers in the strategy for reducing stunting rates in
Central Lampung Regency using Strategy Theory according to Wheelen and
Hunger which consists of 4 dimensions, namely Environmental Observation,
Strategy Formulation, Strategy Implementation and Evaluation and Control, it has
been implemented quite well but not optimally. There are several obstacles in
reducing stunting faced by the Central Lampung District Health Service, including
a lack of public insight into the dangers of stunting, especially in remote areas due
to a lack of socialization so that many people are still indifferent and consider
stunting to be normal, the community's economic level is low so they are unable to
afford it. fulfill food ingredients that meet the nutritional, nutritional and protein
needs of pregnant women and babies. The Central Lampung District Health Service has made several efforts to overcome these obstacles, including carrying out
continuous outreach to the community regarding stunting, providing food
assistance programs to fulfill nutritional requirements and monitoring the
development of pregnant women and babies.
