Problem Statement/Background (GAP): This research focuses on discussions related to the use
of technology in the form of the Simpati application, which is a supporting application in handling
stunting in an integrated manner which has the potential to be a solution to overcome limitations
and errors in stunting data in Sumedang Regency. However, in its implementation there were
several obstacles that hampered the implementation of the application. Purpose : "This research
aims to see the extent of effectiveness, what obstacles are experienced and the efforts made to
overcome the problems of the Simpati application in handling stunting in Sumedang Regency,
West Java Province (Case Study in Sukajaya Village, South Sumedang District, Sumedang
Regency). Method : The research design used is qualitative research with descriptive methods.
Data collection in this research was carried out by means of observation, interviews and
documentation. Data analysis techniques include collection, reduction, data presentation, and
drawing conclusions. This research uses the Effectiveness Theory according to Sutrisno (2007)
based on 5 measurement dimensions, namely program understanding, right on target, on time,
achievement of goals, and real change. Results : The results of this research show that the
effectiveness of the Simpati application in handling stunting has been assessed as effective based
on predetermined dimensions, although in the implementation of the Simpati application there are
also obstacles such as problems with the application and minimal supporting infrastructure,
limited human resources in sub-districts or villages. , the level of public awareness is still low, and
the development of new applications is not yet optimal. Efforts that can be made to overcome
existing obstacles are planning to improve the quality of the application and providing supporting
infrastructure, rejuvenating officers, carrying out intensive outreach regarding the benefits of the
application for the community, as well as evaluating and improving the new application system
which will replace the Simpati application. Previously. Conclusion: From measurements using a
5-dimensional approach, namely understanding the program, right on target, on time, achieving
goals, and real change, the effectiveness of the Simpati Application in Handling Stunting in
Sumedang Regency, West Java Province (Case Study in Sukajaya Village, South Sumedang
District, Sumedang Regency) was assessed researchers have been quite effective even though there
are still several obstacles related to the process of handling stunting in an integrated manner
through the Simpati application
