Purpose: This study aims to describe the pattern of population migration in Muara Enim Regency and the local government's efforts in managing migration.. Method: This research uses descriptive qualitative methods according to Everet S. Lee's Migration theory. Data collection techniques through interviews (24 informants), observation, and documentation. Result: The results show that migration in Muara Enim Regency is influenced by various factors, including push factors, pull factors, intermediate barriers, and personal factors. This migration causes an increase in the number of labor force and population density, reduced human resources, and the fading of indigenous culture. The Muara Enim Regency government's efforts in handling migration include socialization, ball pick-up, coordination, training, and synergy with local companies. Conclusion: In-migration that is greater than out-migration has an impact on both in-migration and outmigration. The Muara Enim Regency Government has made various efforts to manage the migration that occurs, it is recommended that the efforts that have been running should continue to be optimized and there is cooperation with the large center for the development of job training and companies in Muara Enim Regency.
